Sadly after three months of illness and no response to multiple
visits to the herp vet ,I lost my turtle of 12 years.

No matter what I did, she would not resume eating and due to
internal problems she passed yesterday.

It only took ten years, but she became tame and wanting for
company. She loved roaming the halls looking for another "pond".

Sadly missed, my underwater princess.

that really sucks. Turtles can become just as loved as a family dog or cat. I feel for ya...

Do you plan on getting another turtle?

What a cutie! I'm so sorry for your loss. However when you said that you would be giving up on having pets for a while.....I thought of the quote, "'Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all." How true that is! It is sad that we usually out-live our pets, but they enrich our lives so much, that life would be mundane without them.
Again, my condolences.
