Heres peanuts first basking since i put in a basking light today

ya and Thursday im getting him/her dont know if what peanut is yet. Im getting a 40 gallon tank with a removable plexiglass ATBA

Bwahaha. I always feel victorious when I catch a picture of mine basking. Little turds always rocket off the platform when I get just about ready to snap a picture. Its like they know! :p

i know mine jumps off as soon as he/she hears the garage door open and peanuts tank is across the garage

I think somebody said they hear via vibrations or something? Not exactly the same way we do.

intresting. I have never gotten a basking light cause i was scared to leave it on for a long time . So far peanuts has been on since 10am do you think i should turn it off? How long do you leave yours on.?

Basking lights should come on and off about when the sun goes up/down.

Yeah I read most of it. I just didn't remember the hearing part. I leave my basking light on sometimes 12-14 hours right now since its summer.
