Hi all, it's been a while, I had problems with my dogs: I lost my wolf Rudy, at the age of 15,5, from old age, and I had to take Paté, his girlfriend, home...
So, my girl Res is growing (of course) and today, for the very first time in 1,5 years I saw her sleeping! :) - She was the sweetest thing! Btw, is her position normal during sleeping?....

On the other hand, my dogs are VERY interested in her, but for now only through the glass door....

Sorry to hear about your dogs! It's always a sad day when you lose one.

As for the sleeping pattern, it looks OK but is this during day time?

During these past 5 days, when I was at home for Christmas, yes, she was asleep in the morning, from 11:00 to 12:00. Then she was alert till the evening.
I usually am not at home in the morning, to witness this, but I don't remember seeing it on Saturdays or Sundays till now. Should I worry?....

It is a little odd for them to sleep during the day, and if they do do it, it's during basking. When do you turn her lights on/off?

Her lights are on from 07:30 till appr. 22:00. The minute I turn them off, she goes directly down towards the sand - she probably sleeps then as well, but I'm not there to see it... She is basking for a good 2 hours every morning and 2-3 hours in the afternoon, but I never got a chance to see her sleep during that time.
To tell you the truth, a thought crossed my mind that she tries to hibernate, but she practically can't do that, since the temperature of the water is never lower than 27 degrees C. Thanks in advance for any advice!

Maybe she's just going through some SAD (seasonal affective disorder). They act a little strange during the winter but are generally fine. If anything, you can slowly knock the temperatures down a bit to 76F for adults.
