I used this converter link found here: http://www.redearslider.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=121

I believe it is a 70 gallon tank.

It looks very nice. I bet the turtles love it! :)

I come up with a 70 gallon tank also.. well 69.19 gallons. Maybe the measurements are off? Either way, Great find for a great price.. :)

That is awesome that you got it for free!

What is all the tubing in the first picture? Is that a line for your filter?

If it is, when you have that much line, you greatly lower your GPH and suction power. Raising the filter, cutting out as much line as possible, will really add a lot more per to the unit.

If that isn't it..what is it? lol

yes it is my filter tubing. i will see about re-doing it so the line is shorter,, thanks.
i now have a background picture that realy makes the tank look more natural. my green wall in the back makes the water look green.

those are real platies and other livebearer's in the tank , correct ? How do they get along ? How big are the turtles in that tank ? Just wondering because I have a 55 gallon with tropical livebearers.

yes the plecos are real. i have one in each tank. they were all added about the same time. when i started up each tank with new turts, i also added a pleco. the tropical fish are in the background picture. i have some big goldfish in the 55 gal tank but no one eats them.
well crush i think is 3 1/2 in and sqwooshie is 3". the large tank holds voltamort at 7" and dumbledore at 6 1/2 in. yes they will need a bigger tank, but at least they are out of the 55 gal. the tank they are in is 80 gal. i can not put any other fish in with the bigger turts cause they will be food. i do feed them on occation rosy reds. they all love them.
i do nee d to ask about how do i know if my res is FAT? she eats alot, i try not to feed her too much but she begs constantly. my husband suggested taking her for a walk. so i might try a harness but attach it with suction cups to her shell!!
