I finally got her eating after a 7 week fast. Turns out she was just being picky, holding out for the good stuff (live)

I won't breed rats/mice for a few reasons. I'm allergic to anything with fur, I felt bad enough keeping that one for a few hours before feeding it off, and lastly, I hope to get her back on dead ones asap.

I've got a friend who's adult ball python went almost a year without eating. They are very gentle snakes, but notorious for going off feed for no reason.

Nice looking snake. But I have some advice for you. You should feed her in another container other then in its habitat because it might start to associate you hand with food while it’s in its habitat and lash out at your hand. Well that’s what we did in an animal science class that I took last year. Better safe than sorry as I’ve been told on occasion.

P.S How old is you snake? Also how long is it?

She never sees my hand at feeding time. I feed with tongs but thanks for your concern :-) Even if I did get tagged it wouldn't hurt. It looks far more painful than it is.

She's about 7 months old, and a bit over 2ft right now.
