It looks like a Girl... but just watch to see how those nails grow. I would have to guess 1.5 years. My turtles is 3 years old and she is 8 inches long!
THANKS!

Could be a girl but like Jessica, a picture of the tail would give a better indication.

Need to see a pic of the tail (preferably the underside). Nice-looking turtle. That's quite a bit of growth in 5 months...What are you feeding him/her, how much and how often?

heres the best pic of the tail i have at the moment.
I notice that her pooper is closer to the body and not further down the tail if that helps.

And im feeding her nutrafinmax pellets as the staple of her diet about 7-8 pellets a day split into 2 feedings. Rosies & Ghost Shrimp once in a while.
She really dont like the veggies but i still have a few more id like to try.
Cuttlebone is always floating around. HBH Turtle treats ever other day i give her maybe 2 of them. Thanx for the replies, but i thought she was a girl also just needed a 2nd or 10th opinion..lol

And i know it wont be for a while, but what is the usual age when females start wit eggs? Thats something i really wanna start learning about if infact she is a female. Thanx again for all the help ive gotten from everyone.

I'd guess girl based on her facial structure too. The boys tend to have a pointier nose.

Very good looking turtle! Good job!

Based on the tail and nails, if your turtle's shell length without the curve is really 4 inches, I'd say you have a female.

You could start feeding every other day and offer plant matter/veggies daily to slow down that fast growth.
