I let Gamera hang out in our puppies kennel for a while to keep her away from the dog and out of trouble. But I think the puppy got jealous!

Heres both of my RES hanging in the new 55 gallon acrylic tank.

That water looks a bit cloudy... You should add some rocks/plants...

Haha, I don't think the dog has ever seen a turtle before! Is that dog keneel on top of an arcade game or something. From that second picture the turtles look really big, how many inches are they?

One is 5-1/2" (Male) and the other is 7" (Female).

Yes the kennel was on a cocktail arcade machine version of Bionic Commando. Video games are my other hobby. I put it up there to keep the dog from geting its nose snipped at.

Your tank is way to small for those two turtles. The rule is 10 gallons per inch per turtle. So you need about a 130 gallon tank. Your 55 gallon is fine for your 5.5 inch turtle, but not for long. They definetely need more space.. are you planning on upgrading soon?

Evidently no one has faith in my ability to care for a turtle...

150 gallon on the left for the 7" and 55 gallon on the right for the 5.5". They got separated because the male was hurting the female.

The above picture was just showing the new tank off since I was cleaning the big one.

haha, I don't think we have trust in anyone until they prove it. You've obviously proved it, that 150 gallon tank is a beast.

Your puppy would be pretty sorry if she actually got her wish - which is apparently to play with that turtle!

The big tank is 4' long , 24" wide and 29" tall. It acrylic so I can actully life it by myself. It came with the stand and a filter system (that I could not use) for $100 off craiglist.

The puppy is a Shiba Inu she is a year and a half old (guess not really a puppy). She stands 15" tall and is a pure bread.
