Nice pics. I also have a hard time capturing my turtles with the camera. You should consider adding a UVB lamp as well and not use those little white turtle blocks (which I think I see) :)

How long have you had her?

Hello
Thanks for the advice, I have taken the turtle block out, the rest are white stones, she seems to enjoy playing with the stones. I have had her about 2 months.

Hello
My tank is a 20 gallon long, she is getting upgraded to a 55 gallon as soon as the stand is done. Yes that is a mesh screen top on top the tank as Myah is quite the escape artisit.

Thanks

You shouldn't have any screening between the light and the basking dock unless it has (I believe) an inch and a half holes in it because anything smaller will block out all the UVA and UVB rays that your turtle needs!! Even glass/windows block out all those rays as well! Very very cute turtle! :) how big is she?

1/2" hardware mesh should be the smallest holes that you allow. Anything under 1/2" will block uvb

i use an oven rack ontop of my setup to allow the light to shine thru.
i seen someone else using one also and thought it was a good idea.
Lord,
Grant me the serenity to accept the things i cannot change.
The courage to change the things that I can.
And the wisdom to know the difference.
