Those are nice looking setups. Those tubs are really nice as you can provide your turtles with the space they need at an affordable price. I like Monet's basking box too. Did you make it yourself? Nice job! One thing I noticed was that you didn't have any lamp for heat over the basking area, just the compact flourescent bulb. The basking temperature should be 88-90 degrees.

My dad made Monet's basking area at Christmas time. Monet usually has his regular baking bulb also; we took it off for the picture, so don't worry!

Unfortunately, I don't think Monet was smiling because he was happy, he was rather upset with me for taking him out of his container for the picture! Donatello's setup is downstairs in the living room while Monet's is in my bedroom.
It is amazing what you can get in a bedroom sometimes: I have a full sized bed, Monet's four foot long container, two dresser drawers and a loveseat! (besides the closet and the door that leads to a second story deck) I only have a two bedroom apartment, so things are pretty tight - there is not much space left for anything else!

Does anyone know why I get so many [img]'s in my posts when I post pictures?

The first time you hit the img button it adds the "" text. If you hit the img button several times in a row you will get " [img]..." If it gets out of sequence it could mess up the way the post shows up.

Each image you post should have the text "".

What an awesome set up! If I would have only thought of the *cheaper* way out in the beginning...hubby wouldnt be so against me getting another RES...darnit!
(NOT saying your habitat is CHEAP looking, just didnt realize I could use a plastic container for the turt in the beginning..duh)..
I LOVE the basking areas and the babies look so happy!!!!
