So I took some pics of the critters and it's obvious now that I suck at photography. Can't hold an animal with one and and take a pic with the other and have it turn out. Here they are anyway.

I think Rocks may be going melanistic

They grow up so fast *sniff*

Pandora wanted nothing to do with me

Notice the giant chunk they've managed to chew off of the turtle dock

I tried to get a pick of Dog's freckles because they're too cute but it's blurry....

Dog's bum

I tried to capture that permanent look of shock  on Poe's face but again, blurry

And last but not least, Julia

My boa was in a mood so I didn't bother him to take pics.

Those pics are still really good. I think Julia is gorgeous! (I have a friend named that too) What size of dock do you have? It looks like the metal bars are bent also, besides a third of it being eaten!

It's a large dock. It's only used for a ramp anyway so it's no biggie. The plastic bars look bent because the suction cups on the bottom don't stick anymore.

My boa was in a mood so I didn't bother him. He's bitey.

Yea snakes can be tempermental that way. Such different personalities too. My female columbain redtail has always been the gentlest snake I've ever had. I got her as a baby (18" long) and she was captive bred. Is it possible your boa was wild caught? That would definitely account for the aggressiveness.

I know for sure he was CB. No worries. Babies are always like that. He's calmed down quite a bit. I can bother him all I want at night but never when it's still light out. He once tagged me 3 times in as many seconds. He strikes so fast, and so hard, you can actually hear the *woosh* of the air.

How old is he?

Yea, when I feed my girl her thawed rats, I am very careful to make sure to use long metal tongs and that I am directly opposite of the rat from her mouth. She's over 6ft now and her strike is lethal. When she smells that rat, forget it! Anything that moves is will make her strike lightening fast!

Nice pictures bro! Love the snake! We can't have snakes in NZ. There are no snakes in the country at all. I'm pretty sure there aren't even any in the zoo.

I don't know much about snakes, but where do you house them when they get to be 6ft long? I can't even imagine having an animal that large in my house

My ball python is in a 20L right now and she's 3 feet. Next upgrade will be a 40L and that'll be permanent.

My boa (when he's 4ft) will have a custom enclosure measuring 4'long x 2ft wide x 2ft deep and that'll suit him when he's full grown (about 7ft)
