Whoa, Eddie, you're kidding me right? You live in the reptile capitol of the US, there's got to be half a dozen reptile shows near you. And those shows have the really cool stuff like gators, crocodilians and hots (venemous)! Have you checked out the Events listings on Kingsnake.com?

I have seen listings of reptile shows in Tampa, Ft lauderdale, pompano, but never any in Miami. All those places are realy far from miami though. Maybe if i had a car it wouldnt be so far, but there is no way I could get there on a city bus..LMAO :D

I just found 2 shows within less than an hour's drive from Miami. One in Davie and another in Ft. Lauderdale. Check out this page for more info...
http://www.kingsnake.com/events.html

If you can make it out to Tampa, there's a really cool show there.

Hey, I'll come down there and help you find it! ;)

Hahah, drive all the way down here and take me then! The problem is that I have no one to take me. I usually use the city bus to get around, and I have tried going to davie before on bus and I just ended up getting stuck in the middle of nowhere (not fun!). Sure on car its an hour drive, maybe less. But not on bus. I noticed that turtlepimp is located near me though. I'm thinking of getting another turtle, im either buying one from him or at an expo if i ever go to one (coughcough, if david ever drives me! coughcough)

ALL of the critters in these pics, are "hots" except the pyhon on the bottom. The first is a Komodo dragon. The second is a rattle snake, he third is a viper, the fourth a pile of rattlers, the fifth is a Taipan. Not the inland Taipan or fierce snake though. I was looking for one. They didn't have a common brown either. I like the veneomous reptiles. I will post more soon, I am just a little crazy busy right now, all sorts of tests and lab practicals this week and next!

which is your fav? I have a pic of a cape cobra that's really fuzzy, but i'll post it since it's in your favorite species group. I do think cobras are very interesting and pretty too. The red spitting cobra is really lovely!

My particular favorite would have to be the sunset monacled cobra (Naja kaouthia). They are beautiful in my opinion. The spitting cobras are pretty too, but the idea of spitting venom makes them too hands off for me. I know all hots are really hands off animals, but one that can spit from several yards away...you'd have to wear a face shield before you could even open its enclosure to clean its cage.
