im moving within the year too an apparment tthat allows pets (they actualy prefer pet owners lol ). im looking at 2 bottom floor appartments there both concrete floors so i can build to the biggest sizes i feel like building wiht out having to worry about suporting the floor.
im looking to build an l shaped pond thats sits in the coners its gunna stand about 3 feet high its gunan be 3 feet wides by 6 long on one leg
and same on the other im gunna hous elive plants and every thign for the turts to munch on .i was wondering tho if i kept 2 turts in that sized pond and itll have plenty of privacy would there still be a chance of problems?

Exactly what do you mean by build? Building one stone by stone would not be a good idea for an apartment (the weight, time, expense...), where some larger tanks and preformed ponds wouldn't be able to fit through your door.

building wont be a problem my dads a capenters of 30+ years im gunna build a wooden indoor pond and im gunna uses pond liner to water proof it .
im not gunna have a problem suporting it and the cost doesnt bother me at all
i dump tons of cash all the time into the turts all the time i love em to death

ive gone threw alot in ym ehad and im just gunna build a 6foot by 3 foot box pretty much thats 3 feet high
it has a volume of 75 feet

I've seen something like that before, I think it was on this forum. Argh, I can't remember where I saw it though, but it sounds almost exactly like what you're describing with just the one box though. It looked really nice! It should be a lot of fun. Just make sure to frame it up real good so the sides don't blow out from the weight of all that water.

DavidY, I remember that indoor pond too. It was a major project and when it was finally done it really looked nice. But shortly after it was done a piece of it collapsed and killed one of the turtles. It's tricky to build a one-of-a-kind thing like that.

I've seen a couple of very nice wooden ponds but none have been that large. It would better to have a steel supported tank for that size.
