Lol, here is how my bounding goes...

I feed them, they see this "big head" (lol grey goose!!), and then get food. My turtles like food. (Big head = food) = we like big head(AKA me).

Yes, the way to a turtle's heart is through his stomach!

For a long time I've picked my turtle up almost every day to check out his skin and shell. I didn't do it when he was real small but started when he was maybe 3" long. I think this got him used to me and helped him to realize I wasn't going to try to eat him every time I picked him up.

I let mine walk around in the living room or kitchen area. You just have to be extremely careful that he can't get into anything. They are a lot faster on land than you might think. It definitely is fun when they try and crawl up your lap though, I love it.
