It's a weird concept, and I am suprised there isn't much or no information about this clicking. In the past I've seen my rio making that sound while basking, but was nipping at his legs at the same time. He hasn't done this for about four months now

I don't think turtle make actual mating calls. I've heard that certain species of tortoise can vocalize while mating, but I don't think turtles to it to attract mates.

Talked to vet. They said my husband scared him.
and the sound was normal!

So once again Marisa was right.. go figure huh?? :lol: She said it was a 'warning' sound or thought so :)
