Yesterday, I was lurking around a reptile center until I saw a female Florida Softshell, jumping all over the place. When I went to get a closer look, her eyes were puffier than normal and her foot was bitten pretty bad
She just melted me, so I decided to take her home (the place wasn't doing any good for her  )
She's eating like a pro, basking and swimming in her new 175 gal tank (the tank I had my other female softshell about two years ago before she died)
She's a big girl, about 7 inches. I have her by herself right now, and plan to keep her alone.
Big suprise this morning... I lifted her up into the feeding tank and I felt lumps on her plastron. I called the center and they said she's been gravid, and that she was seperated with the male. Oh boy.
I'll have pics later this week
