Just wondering about this for awhile now. Ive never heard mines make a sound but I dont know if they actually can....... :)

i heard one of my res before making a noise.. usually when basking it sounds like a low pitched frog type deal( best way i could explain)

Tortoises do squeak but it's not their vocal chords doing it.

No, turtles do not have vocal chords. They can, however, make hissing and grunting sounds.
