No it's Deer that's what is for dinner. And sorry but there is nothing like getting real meat that you know hasn't been touched by five million people and all they ate was what mother nature gave them..and that's the best stuff. Plus deer meat is the best meat out there for you.

And there is nothing like knowing that you brought home the meat. Plus it's kinda the thrill of the kill. Hate to say it that way but it kinda is. You wait all day in the cold to bring home the meat and when the deer comes out and you get it, then tahdah! You've got it and you bring home food to the family.

In the grocery store, you don't know how long it's been there, who's all poked at it, where it was, etc etc etc. Plus you drive there and pay money for it that goes to a whole lot of people you don't even know. Whereas with your own meat, you have it made the way you want, it is less expensive compared to the stores, and that money goes to that place that you took it to where it gets processed. And here we take it to a ma and pa place. So we keep them in business.

But about the shell being reported, it's actually a law that they have to state in their description that it was made from a real turtle shell, they didn't do that. And it is also illegal in many states for things to be made from turtles.

daredevilgirl013.. I wish I could remember all the things my oldest son has taught me about the whitetail deer. He graduated from Penn State with a degree in Wildlife and Fishery Science. They carry diseases too and you have no idea if they have one when you "get" them and eat them. I've eaten venison in the past. My ex and his family were big hunters. I have nothing against it, but your statement about it being the best meat out there for you isn't quite accurate either :) They carry parasites.. not to mention ticks and the diseases we can get from those. Just food for thought (pun intended) :D

omg people GROW UP. seriously. we are HUMANS. we are near the top of the foodchain. why did God put animals on Earth? for us to EAT THEM. HAHAHAHAHA! don't you see? that's the way it happens in nature. The Native Americans killed the buffalo and ate it and used it's body to the fullest extent making water bags from their stomachs, clothes from their skin, etc....Lemme go on about another thing that bothers me, people who say they don't eat red meat but that they still eat white meat and fish. It's still meat, if you're gonna go that far get a burger and a ribeye too. We humans are omnivorous because we are intended to be the number one predator in the history of our planet. We have a brain, the deadliest weapon of all. So yeah, stop whining about animals...As long as you don't kill any animals or horribly "make a profit" off of them, you'll be fine right? Good.

It's on the discovery channel..they put a guy in a place like a swamp in south fla in july, in the mountains during a blizzard, with no food or water. Just a camera and the clothes on his back. He has to find, kill food and find water. Interesting show. Not sure when it's on though

i guess that's why he ate the turt then...probably more appetizing than a bottom feeding fish.
