Wierd lengths. Sounds more like a ten gallon tank but the lengths are too large for it. Maybe 15 gallon. Still too small, the thumbnail rule is 10 gallons per inch of turtle, so 30 gallon if they're both that length.

Yeah...my tank is much to small but they're stuck with it until I can get my own place...or my own room.
They both seem to be doing very well though. Bobbi does seem to be basking a lot but my mom is telling me that she always was kind of like that. Maybe I just didn't notice it as much. I feel like they are probably bored :p but I don't even know if turtles do get bored. lol
I want to get seperate larger tanks for both of them b/c they are both in tanks about 20 gallons under size now....
Anyway, they are doing good now. They are begging for food like crazy and basking a swimming and everything, just like normal.
I think I'll keep them seperated for good though. I don't want to risk losing one because they can't get along.

I'm happy to report tt i had changed to a bigger tank and the bitinghad stopped. The problem is caused by the old tank being too small coz i saw the biting happened again when i pu them back in the old tank to be fed. So now i'm feeding them seperately. But i do notice the tail of the one being bitten is a bit short and seems to have a little white pus like thing on it. Is it something to be worried about?

Is it bitten off? It might get infected, you might want to put the turtle in a separate sterile habitat. Probably it'll do while someone says what to do from there.

I've been keping them in seperate tanks for good now. Had placed them together for a little while togther while i clean the tank, it was only 3 mins and i came back to find its tail bleeding. So think the other RES is aggressive by nature. The wound had since healed quite nicely.
