There was a hatchling in my sister's preschool today, it was in a death bowl. Shall I tell the teacher to buy something decent for the turtle? I have a feeling that she will be stubborn with this, mainly because Hispanic storeowners are too cheap and too envious down here (sad this happens between Hispanics too). I mean the lady didn't know the first thing to turtle care, she didn't even knew they grew anymore than hatchling size.
I'll send my mom with some care sheets and info to the preschool so she can tune into this site if she wishes.

I'd at least send the care sheets in with your mom. Coming by way of your mom she might listen a little better. Some adults are stubborn but hopefully she'll listen. :)

It might come across better if you mention that the habitat needs to include this and that, etc. but don't push the issue in a manner that is demanding. She will probably be less likely to listen. Another thing you can mention is that by being a teacher, a lot of places give discounts, or just give items away. She can get a really good deal on some of the items that she needs.

Hopefully she is not letting the preschoolers pet the turtle also.

I just copied and pasted all the care sections on RES.com. I got a six-page document, hopefully it doesn't seem like a boring packet that's only about caring for a turtle. My mom said she didn't see the hatchling today, so she gave me back the care sheet.
I just know someone would sue if their child got salmonella, after all it's the country of lawsuits I guess.
