I live in Moscow, Id which is around Spokane and C'deulne and I can't find any pet stores that sell baby res (1-2 inches big). One told me that it was illegal and they couldn't get anything smaller then 4 inches. Does anyone know where I can find a couple babies to raise on my own. I am an experienced res owner and have a new tank ready and set up for bebes!

I'm willing to drive some too...please let me know!

I think your best bet is to go thru a reputable breeder such as TurtlePimp

He's got painteds, rio grand res and maps. It says they're out of stock right now but you can always send an email and ask how soon they'll be in. I've heard many many good things about him. I haven't gone to him myself simply because he doesn't ship out of the US.

If you check online classifieds or contact a local rescue, I'm sure you'll find unwanted turtles... even hatchlings.
