They do look much happier with all that water.

Full spectrum light... it must say on the package whether UVB rays are emitted (and the %). Just being full spectrum isn't enough. Regular UVB lights are flourescent and don't give off any appreciable heat.

Cute turtles. :) Nice decorations. How big is the tank?

If you give them correct living conditions, they won't hibernate (you don't want them to).

That light has been switch out to a 60 watt UVA bulb. Haven't found a bulb with both UVA and UVB.

You can see the new bulb and tank setup further down the forum thread.

They really are seeming to "settle in" now. Basking during the day and float-sleeping at night.

I take them out and put them in a different container to feed them.

Tank water temperature stays between 75-78.

Filter seems to keep the water flowing nicely. We'll see how well it filters once a week or so has passed.
