ok i am kind of short on money right now so i was wondering if anyone has any odds and ends for turtle care that they are willing to part with, i need more clamp lights and maybe a used turtle dock also i am looking for a python cleaning system, i have an extra ten gallon tank and some aquarium decals i could trade but any help would be appreciated :)

p.s. if the moderators think this is innaproprite they may remove this topic

Have you tried looking at craigslist in your area? You can find great deals on things there and sometimes you can barter for them.

You can get really cheap clamp lights, under $10 at a home depot or similar home supply store. While you're there you may be able to make a cheap turtle dock, I don't know how much PVC runs but with some creativity I'm sure you could make something economical... as for the python, I'd try craigslist.

Some people use regular garden hoses to siphon the water out of their tank and then refill it.

The have a drill pump for $6 at home depot that works like the python...you hook a garden hose to both ends put one in the tank and the other out the door and turn the drill on....works faster then the python and way cheaper. Plus you get the added benifit of fertilized water for you plants!
