I know it's early, since he/she's just a little over 3 inches long at the moment but I thought I'd ask the more experienced turtle peeps if they can see any signs yet of either sex. I'm dead curious!!

I've not taken any photos of Radar's nails/tail yet but I will. I'm hoping for 2 boys! (simply for size reasons)

Was hard to get a tail pic, Frick! kept wanting to tuck it in.

Any guesses?

I'm pretty sure that's a female, by the nails...

It's still a bit early but if I had to guess I'd say female. Both my girls looked like that at that size and it was a bit confusing. The nails looked long, but not as long as a male's.

I'd agree with jen.. a bit early but the signs are pointing to female. My males at that size definitely showed signs of being male by their tails even though their nails didn't show signs until a bit later.

I would guess it's a girl based on the tiny tail.

Don't worry though, girls can be just as fun as the boys! :)

I say girl also, by three inches that male tail is normally showing up, the nails take a bit longer though.

Another inch of growth might make a difference (my RES sprouted nails and a big tail very suddenly), but with that tail, I'd say a female.
