Hey all,

The other day, I finally brought home a ruler from work so I could measure my turtles (especially Siobhan, since he is growing like a weed!). Siobhan is 1 1/2 inches long (no surprise there). But Sheba is actually only *slightly* longer than NINE inches!!!!! So, sorry if I misled anyone here by saying she was 11"....she really IS a BIG girl (should have a "wide load" sign on her backside :lol:

). I felt like such a tard for thinking she was bigger though & not *confirming* that. :oops:

But I guess the GOOD news is that she is in the *perfect* size tank (90 gal) and hasn't grown for a few yrs so I don't think I will ever have to upgrade the tank to anything bigger.

I have something to confess too,

my largest turtle isn't 11 inches (for those of you which remember my posts), it is only 10 inches and a quarter.

But my estimates were correct for my 2 mid-sized, they are both 8 inches.

My smallest male is 7 inches long.

We all make mistakes, no biggie, it's not like it will kill someone (ie. a pharmacist giving out suicide pills instead of cough syrup,

)

EDIT: Did some re-measuring, and my 2 mid-sized females are 8 inches on the dot (they are identical in size) , and my male for sure is 7 inches long.

That's disapointed, I was picturing this huge mammoth of a turtle in my head.

So she's a little girl and a big guy.

She's still the cutest ever. I can't believe she's only 9+ inches! I would have sworn she was 11 too!
