Just a question...

What's the longest people have seen their RESs stay underwater for. I was just wondering how long their are able to be under water before coming up for air.

Thanks

I've read that during hibernation they'll stay underwater the whole time until the water gets warmer.

some turtles completely freeze during hibernation, thawing out unaffected.

I don't think they completely freeze---if they did, the tissues would form ice crystals and break, which would kill them.

You mean frozen over, as ice on a pond? They do hibernate in such conditions, but they themselves don't freeze.

Hell, I've heard stories of people freezing in certain conditions and coming back to life.
