Silly question, but does the large zoo med turtle dock support more weight than the medium? Karlyn is GROWING!!!! She is over a pound now! She was 14 oz in December, and now she is 1lb, 4 oz!! And she has grown two inches in 7 months! Im either going to make my own basking dock, I know the large takes up a lot of space, but I just wanted to know if anyone has used both.

I haven't used a medium, but I have two 4 inch turtles who can bask together on their dock without sinkage.

Spot's about 6 1/2 inches (last time I measured) and I know he weighs over a pound. He outgrew his medium dock quite a while ago. I got a large one and it worked for awhile but then he was sinking it so I got another dock and cut it in pieces and glued it to the bottom of the first dock (with aquarium silicon) to give it buoyancy and now it supports him fine. It's big enough in area that he fits on it too.

I tried the large one a while back and it didn't seem to do the job. My RES wasn't a over a pound, but close to it.
