Hi everyone. I just wanted to know what some of you thought. I'm going out of town for four days and was wondering if my turle would be okay if I left him without his heating lamp while I was gone? I would only be doing it for safety reasons and everything else would remain the same. I plan on leaving him some feeder fish. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

Do you have someone who can stop by and look after him? What do you do about a heating lamp when you aren't home now? Is it possible you could put it on a timer? What kind of heating light are you using...a regular light bulb or otherwise?

timers are inexpensive, i use one myself. who is going to be around to feed the turtles while you're out of town? the feeder fish will probably be gone quick. what do you mean by ''for safety"?

A timer would really be useful. You only spoke of a heating lamp. Does he have a UVB light as well? If so, if he has no lights and is in a darkened area, how do you expect him to see the fish he's supposed to eat? He should have a regular daylight cycle while you're gone.
