I have an algae problem and it grow no matter how much I clean. I recently found tetra algae killer at Pet Co. I was just wondering if it was safe to use in turtle tanks.

Well if anyone is wondering, I bought Tetra Algae Killer about 2 or so weeks ago, it seems perfectly safe on my turtles (I have two about 2 inches each). Tetra Algae Killer has not completly removed all the Algae but it has stopped the growth. Areas with lots of green algae have become less green and I have not seen any algae growth so far. When using this I recommend cleaning some heavy algae areas then using this to prevent algae from growing again.

The weird thing is, when I play with my turtles in the water, everything is perfectly fine, but when my sister puts her hand in the water she breaks out in a red rash which would go away after washing her hands, this only happened when I started using Tetra Algae Control.

Someone on the board said they use Algae Destroyer which works well, so in the future I will be trying that.
