Why is it that so many people who get hatchlings buy two or three instead of one? I'm just curious because it strikes me as kind of odd.

Because they are cheap, and they often think that their turtle will get 'lonely'. Now we all know that turtle's realy like their space to themselve's. If i were to go back in time i would have only gotten one instead of two

I walked into the pet store planning on just getting one. The clerk told me that he would get lonely!!! So, between my Mom, and the clerk I ended up with two. Just looking back at all the time and money I would have saved if I had only gotten one, ah who am I kidding I wouldn't trade 'em for anything!!

Hey, you can use that to get your Mom to spring for that 180 gal tank you now need to house 2 adult turtles!

I wish, and it is going to be a 225 gal. tank. I will be working all summer, and hopefully will be able to afford it sometime in November. No upgrades for me!!! I am going straight to the top!! Or at least I will go broke trying. :lol:

i got two because they only came in sets of two. from the care sheet i got, i didn't expect much to go into it. boy was i wrong! but it's all good, i love the little ones.

I got 3 but the smallest one died and lookin back on it i probably woulda got 1 instead of 3 just cuz it woulda been easier and CHEAPER!!! too XD but oh well i love my turtles their so cute and get along quite well ^_^
