well my turtles tank is right next to my bed so somtimes when im about to turn of the lights i look at Turtle (thats his name) usually what happeneds is that he postions himself on a plastic plant thats attached to the wall of the tank (cuz he knoes ima turn off the lights), he likes to sleep vertically just below the water level. but lately he's been doing what i could only describe as excercises , what he does is that he gets to the nearest corner of the tank to me and starts to swim in-place really slowly and then he stretches his two front legs so that they are touching his nose(like 2secs of stretching and then he relaxes then does it again, like excersing), , its weird because you can see the tension in the streches, his arms shake a little and he's not even looking at me, its like he's concentraiting on stretching, he does this right under the surface of the water, slightly leaning on the thermometer for support, i dunno i just thought it was kinda weird (and kinda cute), why would he be doing somthing like that? (it usually ends like in 1minute)

Is he the only one in the tank? That sounds like he's fluttering at you, or his reflection in the glass. It's usually a territorial thing, so maybe he's trying to show you who's boss. Then again, the males will also do that to catch the attention of a mate, so maybe he thinks you're cute! ;)
From what I've heard, younger turtles will do that as sort of practice/play.

MIne both flutter at each other and reflections, and I am pretty sure they are a young boy and girl.
