Im crazy about my new res hatchlings and i like to watch them but it seems like there internal clocks are switched around they like to sleep all day and bask and as soon as i turn off the uvb light they want to be active which happens to be about time for me to go to sleep and im missing out on seeing them active, is this normal or can i do somthing to fix my problem? :(

Did your turtles recently go on a plane trip? It might be jet lag. joking!

Well I've never heard of nocturnal turtles... Maybe they're still not used to you and are afraid of you?

lol well im not to sure about the plane trip idea . one of my res is pretty active at night while the other is lazy and sleeps alot which makes me nervous i hope the only reason he/she (to young to tell) sleeps alot is just becuase its so young , i just got them in a death bowl but soon realized that they need ALOT bigger tank so i got them a 20 g for now untill i get more money for a 75g even though there only about an inch im sure that they will love the room to grow in lol ill just wait it out for about a week to see if theyll get there time zones right lol thanx

They do have internal clocks that affect their daylight and seasonal activity. As for your turtles---what are the temps of the water and basking area. You mentioned a UVB light (which is good), but do they also have a heat light?
