Serra is afraid of strawberries!!!

I tried feeding a small piece to my turtle and every time she swam over to take a bite, she'd quickly change her mind and swim backwards! Then, cautiously, she would try to bite it again, then swimming backwards once again! LOL! Does anyone else have a turtle deathly afraid of something?

Here's the video.( Sorry! It's sideways...I don't know anything about videos...lol)

She looks like she wants to try it but is being extra cautious 'cause she's not sure about it. She's such a cute turtle! :D

The live plants look great, by the way!

Don't worry.....they don't always like every food you give them. They can be just like little kids in that way! :)

LOL when I showed her the entire piece of strawberry, she freaked out.

But most of the time she'd the most fearless turtle I've ever met. She likes chasing my dog and I have never seen her hide in her shell.

Weird little turtle...lol

Very cute. :)

I gave my turts some slivers of strawberry today. My RES gobbled them up, and to my suprise, so did the painteds.

i had a similar experience the first time i gave lettuce to my two res. they drew back and went to the other side of the tank. i left it in there and after an hour or two they were gnawing on it pretty hard. sometimes though they act like its something to hide under, its hilarous! they will follow it around the tank staying just underneath the leaf as it floats around the tank.
