Hullo. I've been lurking around the forums for sometime now but never got around to introducing myself.

I noticed just recently that my turtles have been nibbling at their poop. Is this normal?

I have two RES. I have a fat, 11-year-old male named Sam.

And a spunky 7-month-female named Geoffrey. (obviously, I thought she was a he) :p

And they both love their watermelon. :p

Welcome to the forum. :) Are the turtles in the same tank together? If so, that's an awfully big size difference and the baby would be better off in a separate set-up. (If they are separated, that's great.)

At 7 months, you can't tell whether Geoffrey is male or female. When Geoffrey's shell is about 4 inches in length, you'll be able to. :)

And, yes, they'll eat their poop, some more so than others.

Ok. Thanks, guys! :) I sorta panicked because I've never seen them do that before. Maybe I just never noticed. XD
