My next question would be what authority does he have over your ownership of these turtles?

So correct me if I'm wrong, you have 3 turtles now? What are their sizes, those 3 turtles will require a large tank in the future. We can't go over to your house and stop your boyfriend or mom. All you could do is protest or give them away to www.turtlehomes.org or www.cohrs.org Both are reputable rescues although you have to fill out and application and pay the shipping fee.

What kind of set-up are the three turtles in right now?

Note, they'll grow 9 inches to a foot long. It won't be easy to care for them, you're looking at the All-Glass 180 gallon or 210 gallon, that's if they do get along. If they don't, then it's 2 or three 75 gallon tanks. It's not all bad to give your turtles up as long as they go to good places. Like the aforementioned sites.

I suggest the sites that RESowner has suggested. Let me get this straight... your teacher told you that she was gonna let her cat kill the turtle? And thats why you took him? HMMMMM sounds like an abusive teacher to me... maybe we should report her!!!!!! :D

Instead of waiting and asking people here to take one of your hands you should just send them to the sites that are listed above. Recently hundreds of baby turtles were found and I think that those turtles should be the first to be adopted (since they were dumped to die)

Taken directly from Turtlehomes.org

Previous owners (donors) have the option of being fully involved in the selection of a new home for their turtle or tortoise, or they may allow us to make the best choice for placement.

It's up to you, if you want to wait for someone on this partiuclar site to take your turtle and that lives in California that's your call.
