*Shudders* Yeah like I want that hanging in my house. It's not like it's a clock made out of seashells that you found at the beach...that's just wrong.

Better to see the shell used for something rather than just thrown away.

I had a friend who lived in Bolivia for a couple of years. There were alot of poor people there and they would eat some sort or large tortoise on special occasions. Kind of like we would eat turkey on Thanksgiving. He said there was not a lot of meat but they would eat the liver and it would make you very sleepy.
As always, spelling errors are complimentary.

Gross. lol.

My grandpa was over at our house frying catfish one day and I was telling him all about my turtle and he said "Really? You can go get that thing for me right now and I'll fry it up for you. Then you'll REALLY love it. Turtles are good eatin!" I was horrified. I'm glad those people got their stuff taken off eBay. That just seems so wrong. Then again, it's really no different than having a deers head on your wall (which I also find disturbing).

I certainly wouldn't do what that person is...but seriously, what do you think he did wrong by reporting him to Ebay??? IMHO, that's a bit rediculous and fanatical. So anyone that makes ANYTHING out of an animal (shell, fur, leather) should be reported? This is life...it may suck, but that's the way it goes. Like others have said...at least they're not just hunting them for their shells and tossing the poor animal afterwards.

I also agree with a few others...what a horrble thing to hang on your wall! uuugh.
Thanks!

That's true that it can be looked at just like hunting others animals, but personally I think that is even cruel and digusting. I never would eat the deer meat by parents cooked while I was growing up. Each person looks at it differently. I personally think that's what grocery stores are for... :) And grocery stores are more comfortable and convenient than say the woods... :D
