I thought the horse's hooves were like finger nails, no nerves except where it grows out (where it's attached to the horse's leg). I know that goats and alpacas do not have nerves there as my friend has a farm and they trim their hooves regularly with a trimming knife.

yes, you are right, they are like fingernail and IT DOES NOT hurt them to have horse shoes unless they are not put on properly...

Now that's a really good idea! I'll remember to do that too. Even if we dispose of our trash properly, we never know where it will end up, possible falling out of the truck or dumpster, or whatever, and working its way into the waterways.

Wow thats really sad they did that to a frog anyway I am a huge animal lover. I love to catch snakes fish and turtles just like said David observe them play with them then put them back.How would you feel if you got taken away from you parents and never got to see how would you feel?Animals should be treated with respect.If your not up for the responsiblity of caring for an animal then don't get one.If all of us in the world were animal lovers none of this bad stuff would happen to the envirment.I think turtles get the most abuse of all a parent gets a kid a turtle trying to teach the kid responsibilty thinking it would be easy to take care of such a small animal. UMM NEWSFLASH they need proper care just like cats and dogs thats why we have this website to help less experinced turtle owner become more aware of the need of there needs

completely agree with turboturle8 you should not get an animal if you can t take full responsibilty of it, and no i do not think a way to teach kids resposibilty is with animal,what about some good education and morals? doesn t that teach responsibility too?

How about this...we find this tortoise, bring it to an expert vet and get the stupid handle removed and the tortoise patched up, then take the handle, screws and all, hunt down the moron who originally put it on the tortoise, and then screw it into his scalp!

This sounds like a great idea, this way they can see how it feels. I can't believe that anyone would do something like that. I also found a horrible video on myspace where some one put a baby turtle into a glass of ice. I want to report it but have no clue how. I contacted a news station and also sent emails to myspace. Why would people be so f***ed up.

He's 14! like me... I'd never do anything cruel like that, though .I know a few guys in my classes who are always talking about destruction and torture to act tough.... People like that like to pick on smaller/weaker/defenseless being to make themselves feel more better. They SICKEN me.

i'm making a comment on that video, too. that's just sick.

i, too, cut and maim those little plastic rings whenever we buy the 6 packs with them on it (which is very rarely) or if i see them at someone else's house (also very rare). if people look at me funny (not so rare), i'm just straight with them. how would you like to have your neck stuck in them? i hate those things, a lot of stuff in this world shouldn't have been invented.

It sucks I tried to leave that girl a message on several of her videos and a regular message in her page but it wouldn't let me. I always have problems commenting on videos.

And dangit I can't even read the comments people have left with the videos Sometimes myspace makes me really angery!

And I haven't gotten any responses from the emails I sent to myspace or any place else about the videos. There really should be a way to do something. Myspace has a way to report images, it should have a way to report videos.

i'd copy/paste the comments for you, but i'm pretty sure it would get me banned. mine was the tamer comment, i asked the poster of the vid if i could throw her into a tub of ice and just let her hang there. i also said she should be strung up.

i had trouble commenting, too, had to go back a few times. i had to scroll down quick, though, seeing that video once was too many.
