Well, I've had them 6 months, I've easily spent $200, and will probably spend more, but that includes initial set-up, and fixing all the mistakes I made with the initial set-up once I found this site

This year is about $300 per turtle. I don't think I spent $30 on the first year I had them. Vet bills can really bump up the expenses significantly.

My expenses really vary... if I'm upgrading Leo's tank that's easily 200+ but now that she's growing less quickly and I don't plan on buying new tanks for a while I think she'll be relatively cheap for the year... just feeder fish, pellets, filter cartridges etc... unless a vet visit pops in there somewhere.

I spend probably a little more than 200 a year on Mikey. Only because he's still a little guy and he's needed bigger tanks. Hopefully the next upgrade will be the last... unless we get a pond :D

I should be set with equipment, so I think I only need to spend about $60 per turtle per year afterwards (replacement lights, filter media, pellets). My vet bills were over $400 this year.
