I suggest Serene, as in calm and peaceful. I think it goes with Serra as it's female counterpart.

Serra never seemed very feminine to me, more like an abstract word than a name.

No Sierra is a girls name too. You could always go "Sergio" or just "Serge" but that's too comical I think. Naw if you're going to rename him you might as well pick one that you like. Serra still carries that "girl" image and we need to delete that part. Start fresh. He's a MALE, dangit!! aar aar aar!
