Ok, I've noticed my one turtle doing a lot of backwards swimming.. she'll go from one end of the tank backwards, hit the wall and shoot forward.. it's absolutely hysterical. She can even maneuver around the decorations, through them and everything .. all backwards. Darn talented turtle let me tell you. I was just wondering is this normal?? or has anyone else noticed their turtles doing it?

Maybe she's acting like these kids you see walking backwards. They do it because it's "fun". So maybe she thinks it's just "fun".

Mine will do that once in a great while. But he'll only do it for a few strokes and then stop and act like Stewie off of mad t.v. and look up me as if to say, Look what I can do! Course I have learned my turtle likes to watch t.v. so maybe yours watched t.v. and learned something off it..

Too much little mermaid perhaps?

Now if my turtle starts to act like John Wayne then we've got a problem.
She is mine and I shall call her Michelangelo!

One of my turtles will swim backwards in circles or around the tank. Most I've seen him do it is about once every week. It is quite entertaining :)
