I have the 2 res turtles, one about 1 1/2 inch shell, the other almost 3", and the new map turtle a little bigger than a quarter. i'm going to keep the map in his own tank for a couple months, but after that, can he go in with the sliders even though they are bigger? my 2 sliders were the same size when i got them, and the big one grew alot faster than the little one (because at first he was hogging all the food, then i split them up to feed them). so if the map is still pretty tiny, would it be a bad idea to put them all together?

Its best if the turtles are close to the same size. The bigger turtle can hurt the smaller one even if it is by accident.

If they are more than 2 inches apart, it would be best to seperate them. Basking turtles generally have large and powerful jaws which can kill a younster easily.

But if both the turtles are adults, 2 inches wouldn't matter as much.

27 Turtles. 6 Tortoises.
