I was just holding my turtle after I finished srubbing his shell and giving him his medicine and i felt something wet hit my hand. It's entirely possible that it was just the soap left from my scrubbing him but i'm not sure. I just ran to the bathroom and washed my hands lol.

Before he did it he was bobbing his head up and down, then I felt it. Has anyone else ever experienced something like this?

Yes, they pee. Mine does it if he doesn't want to be held (very effective in getting me to put him down). The pee is one reason you want to keep the water clean.

Yes they pee. I've been peed on several times. No biggie.

I'd like to comment on the soap, since no one else has. Please DO NOT use soap on your turtle or on anything in his tank. You're taking a big chance with that. It can make him sick or actually kill him.

There was a post on this forum a while back about a girl who put her 2 turts in her bathroom sink while she changed their tank. 1 died and the only conclusion we could draw is that there was soap residue in the sink.

Oh I'm sorry, I should have been more specific.

I didn't just use normal soap to scrub him. My vet gave me these cloths with a special soap designed to get rid of his shell rot and she told me to scrub him once a day.

So I can assure you he will me OK. Thanks for your concern though :-D

Ok, sorry for flyin off like that. :-) In my defense, you'd be surprised at how many people think it's ok to wash a turt in soap
