I bought a 3 inch catfish for Tilly's tank, I knew there was a possiblity she would eat it, but I wanted to give it a shot. Well....it lasted all of 48 hours.

Poor catfish...the good thing was that she ate it at night, not during the day when the kids at school could have seen it.

The kids were so excited to see the catfish in her tank, then one morning when they came in it was gone. They kept saying "where's the catfish?" I hope none of them are tramatized!

It seems the turtles like to trick us into thinking fish will be safe. I still have 2 roseys in Gandalf's tank, over 2 months now. I know he'll eat them eventually, but he seems to be playing a game with them. Nothing is safe forever in a turtle's tank! lol

Me too! The kids are still asking about the fish. :shock:

The weird thing is that there is a zebra danio in her tank that has been there for months. (I removed it from the fish tank because it was very mean!) Either she likes the fish too much to eat it or she is saving it for a special occasion! :wink:

OMG. Turtle eat any fish.......? thats crazy. Wouldnt certain fish get them sick..or is that normally healthy for them
