Who here has noticed that a person under the name of [name removed], has been replying with false/totally wrong information around the forums? Kinda ticks me off because this person posts with such confidence like he/she is 100% certain about the things they post. its one thing to be confident about replying to a question. its another thing to be confident and replying with false information. I was going to be more harsh on this post, but i figured that there are probably younger members on this forum. Im just hoping [name removed] is just some 10-12 year old kid showing off what he kinda knows. if not....[name removed], you should be restricted from posting. I really hope you get a chance to read this

I think Andrew7769 has a good point. It's best to keep the tone objective and professional on the forum - which is part of what Steve and the moderators do. I think that's also what you're looking for, sneakyburrito.

Thanks for the concerns everyone. Sneakyburrito, sincere apologies for editing your post... I did not want to start a flaming issue here, and your opinions are appreciated and this topic is left open for discussion. The person in question has been PMed for certain forum violations. Thank you all who brought this to my attention.

People are entitled to their opinions but I am worried about false information or the misinformed preaching what they think they know. It is one thing to discuss ideas and exchange information, it is another to offer incorrect and potentially dangerous advice. We will do our best to inform these members and, if necessary, take appropriate action.

Thanks again.

Like stated in another post (by Missi I think?), no one here is an expert and unless you have a veterinary degree specializing in reptile and specifically in turtles, whatever advice, recommendations or suggestions given are just that. Even in a court of law you can't be an expert in anything unless you have credentials and many many many many years of experience to back up what you say. And even then, you can be proven wrong in your opinions.

I think the most important thing is to let everyone here, especially the new members looking for info, know that NO ONE HERE is an expert. If we were, none of use would have any issues or problems with our turtles.

My opinion of forums is for someone to put a topic out there and EVERYONE give their opinion and experience and then people can make an informed decision on what is right for them, sooo if I ask a question and a bunch of people tell me the same thing then majority rules, try different things and see what works for you.
