My turtles are now doing this weird thing. First it was only zilla who kept trying to get face to face with nickle and when she did she put her hands on top of her head kind of like she was saluting with both hands and then she shook or fluttered them(her hands). She kept on doing this until nickle swam away and then there was zilla chasing nickle around the tank trying to get face to face again, and when she did she did the same fluttering. This happend for about an hour. Then Nickle started to do it back! lol It doesnt seem to be aggressive just, almost trance like if that makes any sense. They are both female to my knowledge and they both like to lay/float next to each other in the tank so I dont think its a mating thing or a territorial thing. Im stumped. I got some of there little dance on cam but I just have to figure out how to upload it.
When I do put it up please no comments on the dirty water. I was getting ready to do a long awaited water change when I caught them doing this dance. They werent even shy about it either cause I got right up against the glass and took pics and video and they didnt even mind me.

It could have been just territorial, it doesn't have to be aggression. However, things can easily escalate, so it would be a good idea to keep a close eye on everything.

i agree.
you must keep an eye on them to make sure that none of them get injured.
it isnt allways agression, my turts are doing the same thing, but no agression.
but you never know!

Sometimes she'll sit on the bottom and close her eyes and let B.D. flutter away....maybe she's hoping he'll get tired. :)

He follows her around like a little puppy. By the end of the day, he's all tuckered out. He's fast asleep 1/2 hour before the lights go out.
