I HAVE BEEN FEELING VERRY BAD FOR ABOT 3HOURS NOW.
I WENT TO THE DOCTOR AND HE TOLD ME THAT I HAVE SALMONELLA
I HAVE THE RUNNS
AND BAD BELLY ACHE AND 2MINS AGO, I WAS SICK, VERRY SICK,
A LOT CAME OUT, I FEEL MUCH BETTER NOW!
YAY, BUT STILL, I HAVE STILL GOT IT
DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO GET RID OF SALMONELLA?
HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

Didn't the doctor give you anything for it? I suppose it will just *run* it's course as long as your immune system is healthy, but if it lingers the doctor can treat it with antibiotics. Just make sure to wash your hands thoroughly and keep your bathroom clean after you use it. You don't want it to spread to anyone else or reinfect yourself. Hope you get better soon!

Salmonella usually takes about a week I think, my aunt had it when she went to Brazil. Since you're going to be losing a lot of fluids, make sure you drink a lot (Gatorade or pedialyte are good because they're full of electrolytes as well as hydration), you don't want to become dehydrated.

Did the doctor get a stool specimen to check that? If he or she did, and didn't give you antibiotics, that's pretty odd. If they are guessing, it may just be a virus, which will probably pass in a couple days. Here's hoping it's viral!

If they did not take any stool sample, no antibx, they are just like scripta_e said, proly think it's a virus, keep hydrated bro.

i made a stool sample for the doctor.
he checked it.
he told me what was wrong.
he gave me antibiotics and parositamol.
sorry that im writing in small sentances,
i just feel terrible.
im not realy being sick any more, i just feel it.

Anything that doesn't require a lot of digestion. Chicken broth, dry toast, soda crackers.

If your stomach is still upset, try ginger ale (ginger is good for bad stomachs, and you'll be getting liquid). Hope you're better soon.

Sorry to hear that you got salmonella!!!!

But keep in mind that maybe you didn't get it from your turtle. This time of year (when the weather starts getting warm), dairy foods like cheese, milk, and yogurt spoil really quickly. Grocery store employees are very careless about leaving stuff out for a long time without refrigeration. I have gone in the grocery store when they restock, and the containers of milk & cheese are already room temperature. God only knows *how long* they were at room temperature before they get put into the fridges!!!!! YUCK!!!!

Also, you can get salmonella from eating out at restaurants too.
