hi and welcome
Ive read both your post,so here goes
1st it will help us all if you can give some information such as the size of the turts
2nd theres alot of information that may help you right here on the forum about how to intice a turtle to begin eating such as offering very smelly tuna, can tuna in spring water rinsed should get the shiest eater moving
3rd try reading the "sticky" posted here a week is a long time for a baby to go hungry
the stickys will also give you information on things such as water temp. basking area tempature, illness, calcuim needs, what to feed and what not to feed as well as how much to feed, filteration, how much water they need 10 gallons per inch of turtle, how to measure and sex turtles etc. I know you will love this and it will prepare you to set up the correct housing once you get moved.
as far as how to move them it is only my opion but I think that the plastic container will be much safer way to transport them in the car, guessing atleast a 12-14 hr. trip ? keep them out of the window /air conditioning draft to prevent RI and dont let em get toooo hot in a closed up car knowing turts they will not eat caz of the excitment going on they dont like change. once you are ready to set up house keeping you will be ready to set them up and settle em in. in a short time they will adjust.but plz get some food into the little guy asap good luck on your move and on learning the world of a turtle.
