It's legal for me to own one, just wasn't legal for them to sell it because its under 4 inches, yeah I didn't learn that till AFTER I bought her.
Anyway I bought a ten gallon tank for now and have a basking area sloped up out of the water, I plan to let her go outside a little each day ( we have a patio) and inside a UVA lamp. I know I need more space when they get bigger, but is there anything else I need to know???

Hi and welcome. You should read as many of the posts as you can on these forums. They'll tell you what your turtle should have (UVB light, heat light, filter, heater, etc.). Then if you have specific questions, just post.
