I don't have any buy I have a book that came with the tank I bought first, there is a whole bunch of different types of betta fish, they are fighting fish and will attack other fish, but apparently they are good fathers, when the female lays her eggs, the father will suck up the ones that don't stay on the nest on the surface and put them back up in the nest.
What a daddy. :D :D

I heard that beta fish will fight if 2 or more fish were in the same tank together. Is this true?

if they are both males theres a fight till ones death, a male and female dont fight . male bettas are very pretty and are harrassed by many type fish, their fins flow and entice even docile fish so they are best kept out of a community type tank. they get beat up pretty bad, the fighting fish basically dual male betta to male betta they truely are not fighters to anything.

females and males would still fight, the male would attack, the female is defenseless. lmao. but if u r trying to mate them, thats a different story, theres a whole other technique for that then just keeping them together. the females dont fight, they can be kept in groups. but the females look small and worthless.

How about a beta and a rosey red minnow, I gave my niece a rosey red to put in with her beta and they seem to be getting along fine. :D

I have 12 tanks set for tropical fish along with 4 Bettas. If you put a mirror in front of a male, it will puff up and try to attack the mirror. No males together or one or both will die. Male and female OK, along with 2 females.

I heard in Thailand and other areas of SE Asia they have beta fights, like dog or [----] fights. People actually bet on the fish.
As always, spelling errors are complimentary.

It's not only in Thailand. When my son was in college they use to do that too... They use to keep them in used liguor bottles... and here I thought he was getting a "proper" education.
