It's difficult to watch a little hatchling die. I did with Ecko, I know exactly how it feels. I'm sorry for your loss jen, but remember that without your help, he wouldn't have lasted this long.
You did good, and he knows that too

As I watched him spin around I told him "if you want to go, it's ok" I know that sounds silly but y'know.

Renee, the other 4 are doing great. They're going back to the pet store today with some caresheets and a list of what their diet should include. My husband wants to keep 2 of them tho.

Uh oh... guess he didn't take the news of your watching them in a negative way if he wants to keep 2 of them.. the darn little things are so addictive. I just keep reminding myself how BIG they grow!!!!

Sorry about the little one, but you know you did your best by him and gave him a better chance than he would have had without you :)

btw, great idea on the caresheets hopefully they make copies and hand them out to their customers that buy them.

I'M going to make copies to make sure they have some when they need them. I learned from doing that at another store that you can't just trust them to go do something like that on their own when they don't have to.

Hugs.

I'd go set the petstore straight. Give them information. It is ridiculous that they can't employee people that don't have any knowledge/experience. Idiots. Atleast employees need should be willing and trying ot learn.

I know for this particular store that the employees have to take a 6 week course for the care of diff animals. The people there are more knowledgable (sp?) than any other store I've been to. I printed out 10 copies of care sheets from this site and I'll be talking to the turtle guy on saturday because he wasn't in today.

I have 2 of my own. These 5 were my foster babies. The 4 that lived were doing great and are now back at the pet store.
