Urgent Care :: Could it be an injury or an infection?

Hi,

How are you all? A week ago, I noticed that my turtle had a white spot on its neck—like a small lump (photo). At first, I thought something might have gotten stuck there, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. It’s gotten slightly bigger since the first day, but now it seems to have stabilized.

Do you have any idea what it could be? A wound? A fungal infection? Can you think of anything I can do if it’s something serious?

It's a common area for an ear abscess. I haven't seen anything that is that white and close to the surface however. I'd personally keep a close eye on it for now, but also research available vets in your area to eventually get it checked out.
